Ninong Ering and Rani Narah inducted into Union Ministry

Arunachal East Loksabha MP Ninong Ering has been sworn in as Minister Of State (MOS) for Tribal Affairs while Rani Narah, an loksabha MP from Lakhimpur, Assam has been inducted as Minority Affairs minister, again as MOS capacity.

Son of late Daying Ering, who was Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet colleague, Ninong Ering was born in 1959.
He was elected to Lok Sabha from the Arunachal East constituency. Ering was a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing Pasighat East constituency as an independent candidate from 1990-1995.

In 1999, he again became a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing the same constituency as a Congress candidate. In 1999, he was the Minister of State in the Arunachal Pradesh. From 2002 to 2004, he was the Deputy Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 2009, he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha.

Rani Narah, wife of Bharat Narah, was a national player. She has been associated with various sports bodies and has represented Lakhimpur constituency for three times.
