Admission in Delhi for North East Students

A co-ordination committee meeting was held yesterday in New Delhi between resident commissioners of North Eastern states and Delhi University authorities in order to discuss admission procedure for new admission procedures for various courses during academic session 2011-2012.

Prof. Suman Verma, Joint Dean, Students Welfare and Examinations informed that a Teachers Counsellors and Senior Students Help Desk will assist the aspiring students during registration and admission at all the four centres. Prof. Verma sought cooperation from the Resident Commissioners of concerned states. The rules and regulations and other important issues relating to admission procedures for the students of North Eastern States seeking admission in Delhi University were discussed in the meeting.

This year Registration for SC/ST candidates commences on 28th May 2011 and ends on 8th June 2011 at Faculty of Arts, Delhi University, North Campus, Office of the Deputy Dean, Students Welfare, Delhi University, South Campus, Dhaula Kuan, Rajdhani College, Raja Garden, Ring Road, Shyamlal College, Shahadara. SC/St students should get their caste certificates provided by Deputy Commissioners or Sub Divisional Officers. Some times university authorities refuse to accept caste certificates provided by Tribal Sanghas.

Documents required for Registration are two self attested photocopies of ST certificate, one copy of self attested photocopy of Class X certificate along with original copy, one copy of self attested photocopy of Class XII Mark sheet along with original copy, One copy of attested photocopy of Class XII certificate/ Provisional certificate, Two copies self attested pass port size photographs.

The Internet print marksheet should be duly attested by the concern Deputy Resident Commissioners. However, student coming from general category does not required to fill up the forms for their registration as online facility has been already made available.
