B Jwangkhang alias George Boro Deputy Commander of outlawed NDFB (National Democratic Front of Bodoland), has been arrested in Aizawl, Mizoram from a hotel after he has sneaked back to India from his hideout in Bangladesh, according to Assam Rifles official as per reports.
George Boro is one of the key accused in 30 October 2010 bomb blast in 2008 where more than 88 people were killed, in one co-ordinated serial bomb blast attack in Assam. He is said have carried out the blast after instruction from Ranjan Daimari, chief of outlawed NDFB.
Jwangkhang was being tracked for the last few days after he entered India from Bangladesh, the spokesperson of Assam Rifles said. Jwangkhang’s PSO was also arrested.
A CBI official, who is in the team investigating the serial blasts, said that the NDFB rebel was the kingpin of the Guwahati blasts. A red-corner notice was issued against him after CBI issued a charge sheet, the official said.
Finally long arm of the law caught up with this terrorist leader and it would interesting how he would be tried for the crimes he had committed.
