Arunachal Pradesh CM Dorjee Khandu still missing

After confusing news about Arunachal CM Dorjee Khandu who went missing yesterday, it is now confirmed that there is no news about him either he has landed somewhere safely or not. Initially, there was confusion that he had landed safely in Daporijo, while some other reported that his helicopter had landed in Bhutan. But Bhutan authorities had denied any Indian helicopter landing in their territory.

Today, three helicopters froom Indian Air Force has been pressed into service to try to locate the missing helicopter. Even SU 30, has reportedly taken off from Tejpur air base in Assam trying to locate the helicopter using it high end radar system.

Meanwhile, four wives of Dorjee Khandu along with his five children are waiting at airports in Delhi, Guwahati for any news. One of Dorjee Khandu’s wife is in New Delhi, two are in Arunachal Pradesh while one is in Guwahati.

“We can understand the state of mind of the family. In fact, the whole of Arunachal Pradesh is simply praying for the safe return of the chief minister and waiting to hear some good news,” Nabam Tuki, a senior minister in the Dorjee Khandu-led Congress government, told IANS.

Some reports says that ISRO has been using its satellite imagery in trying to locate the missing helicopter.

Assam CM Tarun Gogoi had appealed all people living in bordering areas in Assam Arunachal Border to inform nearest polie station, deputy commissioner immediately if they find any helicopter wreckage or information.
